I'll try to explain point #1 first:
You need some seeds to grow fruits from,
lets call our seeds $ and fruits will be Direct Referrals
The more $ you can plant, the more DR you will harvest, sounds good.
But you need also consider the places you would plant your $ at first.
Bad soil will grow you a bad DR harvest anyway.



where and how might i ask would you suggest a person do this at ?

I use traffic exchanges to get direct referrals but most of them use site checkers. Goldenclix and other ptc's are banned because of too many "redirects" on the homepage. I have no idea what that means so I make my own splash pages and banner pages using software from getpaint.net, gimp.org and photoscape.org. They are all free.

All you need is a website to host your images and pages. Free website hosts usually put their own ads on your page but it doesn't cost much to pay for an add free website.
